And how ‘flexy’ is the rear end in comparison to say a five spot or burner?

There’s a fair few reviews on here knocking around of them..

Cheers – was probably too quick to ask

No mention of the word ‘flexy’ yet which is good!

I am really chuffed with my Aeris. Rear end flex has not been noticeable, but I’m not a heavy rider.
The Aeris seems to be quite efficient on climbs and cross-country, but very stable on the downs – it keeps telling me to ride faster!

I was considering an aeris before I bought the five a d like you I had heard about the rear end being flexy.

I contacted bird who told me the fkexy story came from a review in a mtb magazine that had a bike with a pre production rear end.

I believe the current model has a much stronger rear end on it.

First ride on mine yesterday, and the most noticeable change from my previous 2012 Nukeproof Mega is the rear-end stiffness. I’m not a heavy rider (9.5 stone) but I find it accelerates under pedalling and pumps like a hardtail, and the back end is much more stable on rough descents that the Mega was.
