Rear suspension, is it a difficult job, any special tools involved or will they pop out with a tickle from a hammer and the right size socket?

Seen a set of "very high quality" bearings from a ebay trader in Edinburgh for £ 45 ish.

    Any comments ?

    Cheers 😯

Not done a blur, but just did my Spesh Enduro SL for the first time this week. Used said bearings from the Edinburgh ebayer. Didn`t use any specialist tools, just hammer, sockets etc.
One tip, take your time. Its a real bugger to get the old bearings out (alot of swearing etc 😀 ), alot easier getting the new greased ones back in. If I can do it, you can too.

I think those bearings (look for posts by kaesae on here to see who you're buying from) are actually more expensive than the ones from SC UK. I've doen mine – bought the special bearing remover tool thing to do it though as the idea of "tickling" bearings out with a hammer from £1500 of frame didn't thrill me.

With the proper tool, removal and fitting was a piece of p*ss.

The official SC one – bought it from Stif for about £30 I think. Will rent it out for £15 a time and a £30 deposit if anyone wants?

The SC bearings are all Enduro ones now, with better (extra) seals in the kit. Comes with loctite too.

Top tip is to clean your bike well before starting. A workstand helps too.

If it's a new Blur, I thought the bearings had a guarantee on them?

    DBW,

Have you both both "tools" to hire as here ? https://www.santacruzbikes.co.uk/shop/spare_parts/tool_vpp_bearing_press.asp

    Cheers
