Verdict?

I’ve run pikes at 95mm. Good for climbing but not much cop anywhere else.

How old’s the frame? I wouldn’t put 100mm on a recent one but you ‘might’ get away with it on a 5 from around 2004/5.

I believe it’s an 09

I put shortish 120’s on a 06 bike.
Did it because the front end never gave any feel or confidence with longer travel.120’s felt better but just too short and flexy for where i was riding.Sold the bike as i believe the angles were wrong with too much weight over rear end.

Mine’s an 09 and came with 36 Talas. Felt fine in 160mm or 130mm mode but dropping to 100mm just felt all wrong, even up hill. Running 140mm DT’s now and they’re ace.

I bought an orange 5 a few week ago, it came with 100mm standard forks, I think 😕
I think it’s a standard size for the fives.

I know I shouldn’t bite but would you care to tell us what you ride so I can make a stupid comment about you, your life and your riding style?

Wish I could afford an Audi or a roof rack but too busy wasting money on bikes and actually riding them. 😉
