  • Anyone make a seatpost shim longer than 100mm?

I’m taking my Soda to the lakes next week and want to use my gravity dropper seatpost. The shim I’ve got to make the 27.2mm post fit the 31.6mm seat tube is only 100mm long, which is fine in most frames, but less than the 110mm minimum required by Cotic. I don’t want to risk cracking the frame, so need a longer one. Anyone got a really long one (so to speak)?

Anyone? It’s an exciting topic. I’d expected a couple of pages of debate already.

In the past -I’ve stuck two USE plastic ones together(after cutting the lip off the lower one obviously – and used a bit of reinforced parcel tape to hold them together)

Or carpet double sided sticky tape the lower one to the base of the gravity dropper?
