How much does a re-hatch cost, is there a long wait, whats the main make up on costs, materials or labour, are there any Thatchers on the forum ?

I occasionally get to see thatched properties for work – there aren’t many in Derbyshire!

Only figure I’ve heard the landlord claim he had spent was £20k for a 3 bedroom, 2 living room bungalow – no idea if that was genuine. Made me wince, the landlord seemed to think it would be good for 20-30 years, so cost per year maybe not so bad?

Only anecdotal, may be well wide of the mark.
