Snapped this a while back and been wondering what it is…?

Looks like a similar idea to a Hanebrink but the frame and drivetrain is different.

    Nah, too tidy. 🙂

It looks good but probably is too heavy – I’ve looked at building one of those but by the time you put it together the weight of the component parts would make it a pig to cycle on any uneven terrain or uphill (IMO – and would be happy to be proven wrong).

Looks to be in the environment it is suited too already .

That looks like one of those play bikes I’ve seen in the French Alps – can’t recall the name though.

It was indeed spotted in a bar in Morzine.

Don’t know what it is, but the wheels and tyres are from the front end of a racing quad bike. I expect they might provide a bit of rolling resistance…

Useful for anything other than posing?

Useful for having fun and riding downhill which is what they’re designed for.

Im sure I have seen something similar in the alps used as hire bikes for doing “fun” downhill courses on uplifts.

Not sure i’d be too keen to go downhill on that if there was any hint of a switchback in my path.

Down a skiing piste into the arms of a French hostess – that’s what they’re made for.
