Apparently I’ve been on the wrong tax code this year, and should have been on another, so due a refund.

Was on 757L now on 810L, any idea what the percentage difference is – or the way to work out the refund? Alps trip soon, so be nice to not be very much in debt…

not a lot, and £600 gross, across the year

Refund won’t be that much, that’s the extra tax free allowance. So paid tax on 600quid that you didn’t need to.

As above – it basically raises your tax free allowance.
You were allowed circa £7,600 before you paid tax, now it’s £8,100.

So it’ll be £5-600 difference gross, which depending on your tax band, will be ‘a few ‘undred quid back’, give or take….
