I’m after replacing my windows with double glazing, and I see the GDHIF has reopened, which sounds good provided I do a 2nd improvement measure listed on my EPC too.

But I have to use a listed provider, this seems to give me basically no choice in who installs my windows, indeed searching seems to return basically no companies doing this, or they’re generic sounding company names, none of the local window suppliers (bristol).

How does this all work, anyone done it? Seems like to get the cash, I’d be forced to use a different supplier, maybe not as good, and what I’d gain in rebate I’d loose in not having my choice of supplier?
