been looking for a certain kind of touring bike for the wife….went to all terrain cycles today, to have a look at the surly’s and salsa’s.
mrs ton decided on a tiny 16” surly troll, which I think looks ideal.

I am tempted to buy a 22” ogre to compliments it.

anyone got one? thoughts on them please.

I haven’t got one. But I have had a ride on a Ogre.

Pretty standard spec with brooks saddle, deore, BB5’s and some salsa bend bars. I really liked it. Smooth ride and really comfortable. If i had the space and money i’d buy one.

I have a 2013 salsa el mar, which is lighter and more suitable for use with a sus fork, but not as practical as the ogre in terms of luggage etc.

Eldest daughter looked at the surlys but went for a salsa el mar and after travelling sold it on. she liked it as it started lighter and felt more ‘springy’
