I spent hours as a kid in front of my BBC computer playing the original Elite as a kid. What a fantastic game, and i’m waiting in anticipation for the latest version of the game to be released. Just been looking on the website and can see that you can get a beta release version of the game – well not me cause I haven’t got a PC, just a Mac and there doesn’t appear to be a Mac version. So has anyone got it and what’s it like?

Not me but I have spent some time playing oolite which is very good. Google it.

Thought it was an alpha version, but I haven’t been paying attention to the twitfeed. Maybe “Alpha Phase 2.0” is their terminology for beta?

Don’t have Windoze box either but had intended acquiring the finished product.
