The French are properly going for it aren’t they? Supposed to be whizzing down to Avignon on Eurostar, hiring a car and then 20k on to St Remy. Some of the party are getting cold feet due to the strikes and blockades. I’m up for going, a few delays and a couple of bitch slaps to surly French types just increases my urge to travel but I need to convince the others.

Anyone down south in France able to comment?

    Todally interested in this.
Me and the boys are supposed to be driving to ‘bleau Saturday, then LYS to pick up my mum, then down to Ardeche for 3 days, then driving to Marseille to drop off the um and pick up the wife, back to Ardeche for the main kayak trip and more climbing, then back home via bleau.

I think we have a 5% chance of going. Driving 2500 miles through France in the midst of a fuel crisis sounds bad enough; but given the anticipated ATC strike on the day that they fly in and out of Marseilles it just don’t work.

Your plan sounds positively easy in contrast. Tellem to man up and get on with it.
