Although I’m from down south my brother and sister aren’t and live ooop north in Leeds my nephew and niece are in the under 16 races.

As we are visiting for the weekend thought it would be fun for my son to enter the under 8 race which is 5km, he’s really excited…absolutely no training and suffers from neurological issues…I hope he’s not last ! he’s convinced he’s going to win…I have told him Im proud of him wherever he comes and the fact he wants to take part is a massive step for him…looking at the schedule most of the contesters at that age already belong to clubs, are kids really that competitive at this age ?
