I have been trying to get this to work tonight but there doesn’t seem to be enough clearance for the mount when you attach it to the fork. The rotor rubs on the mount.

Have I got a dud fork or do I need to do something else.

I have seen pictures of other people who have done this but it just won’t work for me.

The Carbon Fatty Fork is Rear Disc Spaced.

Sounds very much like you have a Front Disc Spaced front wheel, like my default Wazoo.

This is why I bought a £34 Fatty front wheel at the same time as my £89 fork and £5 bung, as that wheel is Rear Disc Spaced. 😉

Kayak23 on here got around this a different way, he lathed the disc mounts down by ~4.8mm, which is the spec different between the old and new standard.

Thanks that make sense, I did have an old rear single speed hub knocking about and that fits fine. The really annoying thing is it’s a front wheel from on-one. It was this deal:

They also managed to bugger up the rear wheel by sending me a 197mm and not a 170mm. Fantastic looks like i’ll have to send back both wheels or the forks or both

No idea is this would work…

What if you bought the rear 135mm QR hub adaptor, but put it on the front wheel? Would this change the spacing?

I paid local engineering firm to mill down a brake adapter which has worked fine. Cost £25 for their labour and £10 for 2 basic adapters so ive got a spare.

n0b0dy0ftheg0at that’s a good idea but i’ve had the end caps off the el guapo hub and that’s what the end caps are already.

I might go down the mill route and get adapters modified

    Thanks for your help anyway
