I’m going to China with work in a couple of weeks, and I was thinking of using it as a chance to bring back a cheap carbon frame.

Anyone done this? Wondering what to look out for. I can get the frame delivered to the office in China, and I can just carry it back I suppose.

Would have thought you run the risk of customs on it. When the pound was strong against the dollar I seriously considered flying to the States and picking up a santa cruz frame, which was the same price in dollars as pounds here (and an exchange rate of 2.1)

I was going to fly out with a bike bag and all the kit I wanted to put on the nomad, fitted to a cheap frame I didn’t want to keep. Get there, buy frame, get bike shop to build bike, ride it for a couple of days, then put it back in bag to fly back.

    Wife stopped me 🙁

the frame will be a marketing sample, of no commercial value 🙂
