Going to Vegas, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona & Scottsdale on honeymoon in May for 2 weeks.
Planning on doing some MTB'ing, hiking, quad biking type stuff but if anyones been & has some recommendations or some other advice on what or not what to do in these locations I would be very grateful, & would be nice to here how you got on.

I went to Vegas last year on a family holiday, we rode at Boulder City Bike Park one day & Blue Diamond on another day, we hired bikes at both places, Blue Diamond was nice I think they call it The Mustang Trail & I think the bike hire was Mckenzies or something similar, the guy there new his stuff & offered to swap the brakes about for us even, the bike shop at Boulder City is a more upmarket joint but the service is shocking & they'l try & shove you on anything, (they tried to put Me on a medium Heckler & after I smacked my knees a time or two they gave Me a new KHS after I told em to poke it) Great riding to be had at both places, I hope this helps...

Hike down to Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and spend a day down there, there's even a bar for the evening. You wont need a tent, a bivy at most will do

Sadona is fantastic along with rides in North Flagstaff, these are 2 areas well worth a visit.

Flagstaff is ace and quite high altitude for us brits, superb single track trails in woods. Sedona is like a mini Moab, slick rock and fun, you'll love it.

Sedona is awesome - nip up to the airport on the mesa for a meal, the little restaurant there is absolutely bloody fantastic and some of the best views bar the Grand Canyon. Also worth making a detour past Slide Rock canyon and "Montezuma's Castle" at Camp Verde on the way down towards Phoenix.

If you're following that route then I guess you're going to the South Rim to view the Canyon? And that you'll stay in the lodging in park? If not, then you're doing it wrong.
It's worth every cent for being onsite for sunrise and sunset, although we stayed in one of the cheapest lodges.
Flagstaff seemed nice, we only had a wander round for a few hours and some lunch but seemed to be some really good restaurants, bars and cafes. Wouldn't have minded spending a nigth there

+1 for hiking down to Phantom Ranch. We found it took longer to go down the trail than up so you may find that you have some spare time at the top if you're too quick. Don't recommend that - take some more time around the Indian Gardens (the most picturesque bit in my opinion) level if you're ahead of time. The inner canyon is spectacular, but not beautiful really.

Check out 360 adventures for your trips - they sorted me a sweet guided ride with a local pro in Sedona and do stuff in Flagstaff as well.
Sedona is also a nice laid back place to spend some days.
Grand Canyon is a must - Sunrise is truely cosmic
El Tovar hotel is right on the rim so well placed for getting up early to do this.If your budget stretches do a trip with Papillion Helicopters from Boulder City (30 mins from LV)Chopper to the Canyon, land IN THE CANYON, lunch while you are there then fly back. Expensive but would spend 4x for the experience.
