I’m selling my Dad’s car for him. A 54 plate Honda Jazz. It’s on Autotrader and Motors.co.uk advertised at £2500. Webuyanycar will offer me (before the knocking money off lark) about £1500.

I’ve just had a text from autotradebuyer.com directing me to their website and offering to come along tomorrow and give me £2350.

Yeah, right, and does that include the horse’s head?

Am I right to assume this is just a huuuuuge con and I’ll end up being offered £1500 with menaces?

Just got the same message about a car I’m selling on autotrader offering next to asking price on a Ford Fusion.

Seems too good to be true…

Cheers for the info… Ok, so you pay upfront, get offered a really low price if they turn up, or more likely there’s no visit, and there’s no refund.

    Best avoided then!
