    My brother in Australia has said I can have his 3g iPhone for free but it's currently network locked to Telstra over there. As I'd want to swap over to O2 I'd need to unlock it and telstra are very expensive.
    Anybody used any of the unlocking apps such as this one?

    have a look at Linky they will have all the info you need. O2 now have a unlocking tool aswell.

    I presume O2 can only unlock phones supplied by them – this is an Australian Telstra supplied phone so I presume jailbreaking/unlocking is my only option (or pay Telstra $150)
