I have a steel road bike,and am getting it refurbished. My friend is a framebuilder so can do most of the work, but I need to get it stripped and painted elsewhere. I know that most resprayers will also do the paint stripping, but ideally I want to give my friend the bare frame so he can properly check it over.
So, does anyone know of / have experience of a sandblasting place in the Huddersfield area that will do a good job on a bike frame?

I would avoid sand blasting if possible. Have a look for a chemical stripper instead. It’s a lot friendlier on a frame than an over zealous sandblaster.

He soda blasted my frames.. its less brutal than sand blasting.. but costs a bit more..

he did an excellent job.

There is a soda blaster in ogden in Halifax. Much friendlier on an old steel frame.
