    As above really.
    Have a pair of nice Aksium Disc wheels hanging about doing nothing and thought I might try swapping them for the lowly AlexRims something or others on my CX bike.
    Will put my Bontrager tubless tyres on.
    Also, would the Aksiums be strong enough for light offroad duties do you think ?

    I’ve done it. Aksium Disc on my Focus ‘cross bike and no problems mincing round the Peak District at 50psi front and back. Kinda Kwicker folding tyres.

    Ok great, Thanks. I guess you just taped up the rims. What tape did you use out of interest ?

    I killed the hub on my Aksiums (spoke ripped out of the flange) but I’m a big lad and I did like jumping off stuff.

    Mavic replaced the wheel under warranty. Happy days!

    They would be fine for light offroad under a normal person.

    They do go up tubeless too. I used the generic yellow tape you can get from ebay.

    Sorry, I forgot about this. I went round the rim twice with standard insulation tape, favouring each side with each wrap.
