    Think I want a green roof on my ( sometime in the future) garden shed build, so anybody built one ? obviously it a shed so not wanting it to be too expensive.

    I’ve done a sedum roof. Really nice to look at. Make sure you take the weight of the soil (when wet) into account when building the shed structure. It’s blimmin heavy.

    Hey Martin Thanks for the reply. What did you use for waterproofing, how deep was the soil and what sort of pitch did you use ?

    I’ve done one ..used Grp as a base ..soil on most sedum is 50-70mm deep up to 12% pitch is easy and fine without using any baffles to stop gravity ..

    Pretty bog-standard waterproof membrane, then corrugated pvc to aid drainage, a layer of carpet (yes, just old carpet), and a relatively thin layer of substrate – mix of soil and fine gravel.

    Pitch is about 15%
