basically, I uploaded some videos a while ago and then stupidly lost / deleted the originals. So I need to “rip” a copy from the youtube/vimeo versions so I can use bits to re-edit in a new video.

Anyone know how I can do this (on a Mac?)

you should be able to download your original file.

although, i might possibly only be able to do this because I’m Vimeo plus.

Type ‘youtube to mp4*’ into Google.

Should come up with loads of web based converters.

*or whatever file type you need.
