Vice?

Needle nose pliers. Wrap with cloth. Stick one pincer inside and clasp and pull like heck.

Or just cover the pliers with cloth and clasp over the whole outer area of the adaptor. And again pull like heck.

pour some boiling water over end caps 1st.

A life spent rock climbing? Handy for pulling off Hope hub-ends!

Grip hard, pull & waggle.

Although no use to use, mine have always come off by hand.

I used the end of a QR skewer to push it out from the inside.

I found older ones very difficult to get off with pliers etc (and can get damaged) but then fairly easy once I got hold of a vice – if you haven’t tried a vice then that might make all the difference.

Make your own clamps drill a slightly undersized hole through some hard wood about 1″ thick
Cut in half and use halves in a vice

Push it in first, then pull out – simples.

Its all in the wrist action 😉

I’ve just bought a big old engineers vice so I’ll try that next time. As it turned out, my orrible noise I was trying to solve turned out to be more preload required on BB!

Ditto, but with an allen key

Yep, got a very long hex key from an old pair of manitou forks that is great for jobs like that.

Molgrips is wot I use, not set too tight.
