    If you’re bleeding without a syringe, don’t let the reservoir go empty.

    It is easier to pump fluid through the caliper using a syringe so I am told but I’ve never had a major prob by doing it the shimano way by adding fluid and pumping.

    Take your time.

    Make a note how far and how the levers feel/move now before you bleed.

    If done inside, use newspaper on the floor before other half comes in and tells you off for spilling mineral oil in the lounge :O)

    cheers zaskar – im actually doing it in the kitchen so that is a good tip!
    just found a big old beach towel that should do the job nicely!
