    I have a 3 day weekend next weekend and fancy heading to the hills. Any recommendations? Bike or on foot it doesn’t matter.

    Coastal hills? Tough but worth it

    You can cut one day off by starting at Welcombe, there’s a bunk house or B&B at the Old Smithy, which is an outstanding place. In fact I’d do it in reverse and start at Tintagel.

    A mate did a two day ride around the edge of Derbyshire. Looked a cracking route. Depending where you live, that might be an idea to try in your own area.

    For some hairy-arsed mountain biking, how about the Minigaig pass?

    More refined, drive down to the lake district and do 3 days of the greatest hits.
