    I wonder if you could help me out with a direct route up to the Pentlands please?

    I have been cycling down through Murieston and then Harburn and then through what has been put down on the map as a "conifer plantation", but I can not seem to get any further. It is quite frustrating because I can see the A70 a few miles away and when I make it to there I could easily get up to the Pentlands.
