I've had a problem with my right knee with it clicking and locking up. I've been to the hospital and had an x-ray plus MRI and the consultant said it was to do with my knee cap and has referred me to see a physio at the local hospital. The appointment is not for another six weeks. Yesterday while riding my knee popped and cracked very loudly and it became very painful to bend the knee, progressively getting worse through the day. It's not swolen but still very painful at the bottom of the kneecap and I do have full range of movement. I'm now wearing a knee support but is there any other exercises I can do to alleviate the pain? I know I should try and get to see a physio asap but I cant afford the cost of private treatment. Just after a bit of advice. Thanks

I asked for a recommendation for a physio on here last week and got no replies. Went private and £35 for 30-40 minutes.

Confirmed there was just muscle damage and gave some ultrasound and exercises.

not sure that helps you but that is what it costs in Southanpton
