I happened to meet the chaps from MBR when they were doing the photo shoot for the Spesh Enduro (and the Nicolai Helius AC that appeared in the same issue.)
Speaking to them I got the impression that they aren't big fans of 6" travel AM/trail bikes. I wouldn't say they hate them, but I did get the distinct feeling that they don't see the point for the majority of trail riding in the UK. And they may have a point – I ride a burly built 150mm bike but then as Ian Muldoon kindly pointed out 'You're a big chap' ;o) So I need something with a bit of extra metal and bracing.
Another thing that came through was that they tend to review production bikes as a whole bike rather than concentrating on the frame and fork. So even if the frame and fork work well, if you've got poor component selection (like putting a 90mm+ stem on a 150mm travel bike, which is utterly pointless).
