You have hit on the perfect way to settle this.
Get RO and JW to call up their medical notes, and we will see whose is the biggest ??

out of all the contributors to this thread, you were the only one who made sense
today they're infested with the barely-educated, the unemployed, dull admin clerks or IT network analysts, sitting at their computers bored out their skulls on facebook or hobby forums, desperately hoping to come across something to fill their lives before lunchtime.
As someone who probably most closely resembles the "barely-educated" description, I've been following this thread with vague interest and a rather great deal of incredulity.
An early conclusion I came to, was how rather unhappy you sound. Your contributions and successful hijacking of cinnamon_girl's thread, seemed far more to do with you, than any concern about any worries she might have had.
I hope that whatever it is that appears to be bugging you, gets sorted. And that you find rather better fun things to do before lunchtime in the future.
I must say ro, you come across as a particularly cynical, unsympathetic and obnoxious person.
yes, yes, soup, i'm the devils daughter too.
ernie, you have read some of your posts, haven't you? thread hijacking or a morose nature seem to be your constant companions. pot. kettle. black.
i like you too yunki
Dr.P, you sound like a GP. i never did undertand why anyone would voluntarily become a gatekeeper for real medicine. could you explain this?
my medical notes are tiny. does that mean i lose?
Your contributions and successful hijacking of cinnamon_girl's thread
To be fair Ernie, I did bite!
although I suspect he is really an admin assistant who has read an ethics manual
No mileage whatsoever in slagging Ro off. From his comments on here I have no reason to doubt he is not a doctor and even if I used it to point something out to him in a somewhat stw-geeky way, I honestly did think his advice on the running thread was helpful and worthwhile.
CG, I'm sorry I blew your thread way out of proportion with my rambling enormo-posts. I think it was a good thing to challenge something so sweeping and i feared quite undermining to you as the OP: if it had been me in your shoes I would have read it as "Julian, whoever has popped up and atempted to help you is a fraud and should not be listened to".
BUT in retrospect I really should have done all this rambling/arguing on my own thread!
My apologies again.
I'll shut up for good on this thread now.
J.

I'm not impressed with your analytical skills
I can hardly be accused of not sticking to the original topic or purpose of a thread.
ernie; remove your hairpiece, fluff up your blouse and snuggle down with a nice mug of tea and your copy of 'the independent'. the world will soon seem a much nicer place...

You sound bothered
true. i'm utterly furious.
or could it be that, like so many on this forum, i just enjoy winding you up?
you choose
You sound bothered
To be fair, he sounds like a lost, lonely old man clinging to an outdated and unreasoned point of view. I think it's very giving of everyone who is engaging him in dialogue as it is clearly providing him with the attention and company he needs. Mind you, I hope none of you are talking to ro in a 'professional' capacity.
Ro, you're an idiot.
Mods, sorry if you're offended by the above but (s)he doesn't seem able to comprehend normal human behaviour.
the direction this thread has taken today doesn't seem to be amusing you guys, but it has about ten people here in stitches.
when did the uk get so angry? is it the election result?
Ro; what are you so angry about?
Come on, you can tell us.
Dr.P, you sound like a GP. i never did undertand why anyone would voluntarily become a gatekeeper for real medicine. could you explain this?
I've actually spent many years in acute hospital medicine and am a member of the royal college of physicians, and have now chosen to persue a carreer in general practice.
In response to your comment, I'm certain there are many things you don't understand.
Out of interest, what is it you do? I must say, you certainly don't sound like a caring person.
DrP
ro is clearly just trying to wind people up. I mean look at this quote from him:
The best, indeed the ONLY answer to a potentially serious medical question on any forum is simply, 'Consult a professional'. Stop pretending otherwise. It's free, it's what the NHS is there for and it works.
People would have offed themselves by the time they reach the front of the waiting list for mental health advice.
The confusingest thing for me is that I call my daughter Ro
Interestingly ro claimed to be the devil's daughter...
seems i owe mr chipps an apology. he searched his emails yet couldn't find anything from me as regards offering to write for singletrack.
sorry, mr chipps. i was wrong.
i'm about half way through my piece of humble pie. do i really have to eat it all? it tastes absolutely foul
wrong bloody thread. bugger.
ok, dr.p you win the willy-waving contest. i failed in my first try at the MRCP exams and sulked so badly i never tried again. does this make me a bad person? i suspect it does.
but on the positive side, i'm 12,000 or so klms away from you, so i think you can relax. i shall practice my inability to care on the unsuspecting vietnamese. they've been dumped on by so many westerners i'm sure they won't notice me being evil. well, i hope not anyway
