Have a strange problem with a 5th gen nano after it was dropped, it works fine but when you place it on the docker it charges but you cant use the buttons/wheel to click play etc the only way to connect it to the docker is via the jack socket and a lead but then it runs out of power as its not charging.

Looking at the bottom of the nano and the usb pin connector one end has a tiny piece missing which I assume is why its not working properly on the docker.

Searched ebay etc and it doesn’t look like you can get a replacement pin connector and you have to replace the whole board which the pin connector sits on?

    Can anymore confirm this?

Don’t even think about opening the case and repairing it; I did to replace my Nano battery and it was the most difficult DIY job I’ve ever undertaken, really.
