    started doing a lot more walking now that I have hung up my biking boots for the time being, and looking to go further afield, so just wondering if there is any sites that come recommended for walking gpx files

    Dunno where you are but I use Walk Highlandsquite a bit. Integrated solution to route info, printable maps and GPX routes.
