  • Any good deals on 26" road tyres?

Looking for some new slicks for road use, ideally able to handle a bit of rain. I like spesh nimbuses but they seem to be twice what I paid last time and that included free tubes. Any good deals out there?

I've got a pair of these, great tyres, although I paid £24 each.

Two for £35, make sure you select 26" x 1" from the menu

1" wide may sound skinny but it's perfet for the road.

I got some 1" conti somethings from On-One for £10 ish each with tubes recently.

Previously a big fan of Schwalbe City Jet 1.5's from Wiggle for commuting, also reasonably cheap but good.

Someone posted a link to some Conti Grand Prix for £14:95 a week or two back, but I can't find it. Someone else may remember…

I've used the 700c versions of the sportcontact and they are very good. I also have a pair of the 26" tyres and they are hellish to fit. As well as they roll I'd not want to have to fix a puncture by the roadside. Maybe get some slime too if you are buying.

I've had the conti sports. Very tough, but a bit slow and heavy.

The specialized all condition pro's i used to run were much faster, and felt nicer but sidewals fell to pieces.

i'd get Conti Grand Prix if i still needed some now, 14.95 here..
