Just wondering if anyone recognises this fireplace or could tell me what the numbers on the back mean (assuming some of it refers to size).

It was in the bedroom when we moved in but the mantel and hearth were both bodged and were subsequently binned. I’ll like to get the spare parts to put it back together although probably won’t use it.Untitled by IngwerFuchs, on Flickr

The advice I was given when I was in s similar situation was if its old then forget it as spares are almost impossible to find. If it’s modern then you are in with a chance. I made a mantle for mine out of mdf then coloured it with black lead but the bottom bit has been elusive so far.

Take the pictures along to a decent stove and fireplace supplier. I mean somebody who knows their onions like Stuart at Milligans in Burnley. Or a proper chimney specialist (sweep) like Ian at Acorn Chimneys of the same town.

That RD No – might it be a Registered Design? It could be worth a look around.

Thanks all. I’m in Tamworth and there are a couple of companies in the region I could approach.

@Rockhopper – I see where you’re coming from. When I dismantled it before plastering the room the mantel and hearth were both bits of chipboard with 2 inch square metal finish tiles stuck to them.
