Just moved into a flat and the second bedroom is the office/bike storage room. Currently I’ve got my road bike and mtb sitting on a matt but it’s a pain and taking up a fair bit of room.

Spotted this and looks perfect.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-BIKE-SPACE-SAVING-GRAVITY-CYCLE-STAND-FREE-STANDING-BICYCLE-STORAGE-RACK-UNIT-/360600421761?pt=UK_Home_Garden_LivingRoom_MagazineRacks_SR&hash=item53f575c581

Has anybody got any experience with one of these free standing stands? I can’t fix anything to the wall as we are renting. I like the idea of being able to pick which ever bike I want to ride without having to move them all about. £36 seems awfully cheap though..

I live in a flat in Hong Kong where space is really restricted and have one of these.

It is quite a bit more expensive than the one you linked to, but quality is amazing and it is totally freestanding whereas the e you lnked to needs to rest aainst a wall. It also doubles as a workstand.

What you have linked to looks good, but I would be doubtful as to its ability to free stand with one or other of the bikes removed.

I have one of those Gravity stands from Ebay and its great. Made really well and sturdy, holds my full sus and road bike in the flat no problems.

You can adjust it to suit any bike but need to cover the arms that hold the bikes with something as they are just bare metal. I just wrapped some gaffa tape round to stop any scratching.
