  • Any coffee stops near Tissington?

Going to take the 3 year old on the back of the bike along the Tissington trail. Although he enjoys going along his limit is about an hour or so before he starts getting bored.

We live Ashbourne side of Derby so it isn’t too much effort to drive to Ashbourne park the car up and go for a ride. Looking at the map Tissington is about 4 miles along the trail so I thought it might be an appropriate place to stop and turn around if he has had enough.

is there anywhere there or nearby where we can get a coffee/apple juice and some cake?

    Cheers

There’s a kiosk in the Tissington car park that the trail runs through, or about 300m in the village itself there’s a nice (but a bit poncey) cafe.

The cafe in Tissington is lovely, especially if the sun is shining and you can sit outside. There’s a village green and a duck pond nearby.

Sounds good then as long as we can sit outside! Hopefully we make it a bit further than Tissington but seems like a good place to stop on the way back in any case!
