THought I would ask here before I go on specialist forums etc..

An old guy here in Italy has offered me a 1964 Lancia Fulvia Berlina with 9000km on the clock.

This car has been on axle stands since 1982 and its in total new out of factory condition (granted engine, brakes all seals rebuild required etc) after this long a time standing still..

The paint is mint, no rust, even the interior door cards still has the plastic protective covering, still on original tyres which look like new!!

Anyway I dont have time or inclination to keep a car like this but I’m looking at the prospect of importing to the UK and selling on..

Has anyone here ever done this and what would the value of an original car like this be over a restored one?… I’m thinking maybe concours events.

    Pics to follow….

Nice. Just do enough to get it running and through an mot. Don’t be tempted to ‘restore’ anything, I fact I’d be reluctant to even wash it. If it’s that good far better for it to be seen in the condition it was found rather than tarted up ( if needed). Although tyres may look good I’d budget to replace them but keep the original ones wih the car. Somewhere like Longstone Tyres for period rubber.

Matt…. there is nothing to restore… other than changing seals and oils…. its in that a new straight from factory condition….doesnt even need cleaning!

I would be very tempted to keep EXACTLY as found and advertise as excellent quality ‘barn find ‘ through a good auction house. Look at the ones that work through good wood festival of speed (bonhams)

At least they would be excellent people to call and ask for advice!

Just googled it, not the prettiest lancing they built was it. Sounds like a great survivor though. Always puzzles me how people are able to buy a car and just one day decide to park it up rather than sell

No not the prettiest, but the engineering and quality of build is incredible…. this one is pre Fiat……….. seems that there are very little berlinas about but tons of coupe’s

Yep…. that one has done 82000km and “revisione 2008” is what Italians used for restored/repaired..

Still for 5k Euro not a lot compared to the coupe’s…

    May not bother…

I might be tempted if the price is right. Fly out, cheeky holiday & drive it back…
