I’m not keen on attaching a tag-a-long to my fs bike, so am looking for a hardtail for those trips out with the kids. I quite fancy giving a 29er a go, but don’t want to send a great deal of money.
I’ve seen the Diamondback Mojito going for about £350 (think they were £200 last year), but ideally I could do with a few gears. I can’t see much else around for this sort of money, anyone seen anything else that might fit the bill or should I stick to a 26 ?

I use a rigid single speed Swift with a tag a long.
Good work out and not that hard, as long as you don’t plan big climbs.
Look around for something similar second hand.
