What frame would suit.? I already have a 160mm fork that I can wind in to about 145mm although I want to upgrade these at a later date. Preferences for fork, bb height, seat-tube size/ angle, chainstay length are slack, low, dropper compatible (30.9 ) steep, short ( or adjustable ). Probably steel for a bit more trail compliance although I’m not ruling out aluminum. Frames that kinda tick the boxes are the Slackline, Shan although both expensive. The NS Surge is about the right money but the frame weighs in at 2.7 kg ( 6lbs ). My fork is just as heavy at 2.7 kgs also. Any thing else I should be considering?

I run 120-160mm Wotans on my c456 and I love it. I love it so much that I hardly flinched when my Reign was stolen (uninsured).

New Bfe or the new DB Alpine which is on its way?

The Shans not cheap though at £600 + a headset and the 92mm press-fit bb means a new bb & new crank so not just the cost of swapping the frame out .

They do look the dogs danglies though.
