Well the one thing that scared me the most abandoning a route in the alps was when we had no knife and had to cut a rope, it was far too easy to do it on a sharp edge, looks like it took a lot of momentum out as it went thankfully

Yeah I think that’s how he managed to walk away with just a broken wrist and heel!

I was at hard grit live last night and they should this as an extra. He was there on crutches having only been discharged from hospital earlier that day!

In good spirits though and said he still has plenty of grit routes he wants to fall off so will be back.

And I forgot the best bit. He’d already climbed the route the day before!
