Thieves stole 700 loaves of bread during a robbery involving an “object similar to a handgun” in Newport.
A bakery driver was delivering in Blackett Avenue, Malpas, in the early hours of Monday when three black men in dark clothing approached his van.
One man, believed to be carrying a weapon, demanded he give them the vehicle.
He got out and the men made off with the white Luton-sized transit van with the registration plate KP62 LPX.
Police said the delivery driver, 38, from Ebbw Vale, was uninjured but shaken.

This type of robbery is on the rise. Problem with many robbers is that crime is ingrained in the family. Usually the main breadwinner kneads help as he or she just loafs around all year
