I have found the headset could do with changing on my Trek remedy 9.9 2015 carbon frame. The existing bearings are can creek and measure up at
    • Upper 41mm od x 30.2mm id x 6.5mm deep 36?internal angle and 45? external angle
    • Lower 51.8mm od x 40mm id x 8mm deep 36?internal angle and 45? external angle
They are not easily found and I wanted to swap them out for some stainless hope ones as I have found these to be the longest lasting. Will any integrated headset fit my frame or do I have to go with the cane creek again? The key difference I an see is that the internal bearing angles are 36 degrees where everyone else is 45 degrees as these interface on to cane creek specific parts they does this matter. The outer angle on the bearings is 45 degrees so can I get a complete headset with the 45 degree outer angles and drop it on.

Any one else managed to change their trek headset bearing for a better headset than the cane creek ones?
