I've bought a Bialetti Brikka stovetop pot, but seem to be struggling to find the right coffee to get the best from it.
My cheapo blade grinder deprives me of the frothy loveliness the pot produces, but the fine-ground espresso stuff, even Illy, seems to be too fine and tastes bitter.
Is there anyone out there with a Brikka?
And are there any shops who do a coarser 'moka pot' grind via mailorder?

Buy a decent conical burr grinder. Zassenhaus make some pretty good manual grinders and I like using them but I brought a Krups electrical one a few years back because she who must be obeyed wanted something easier and its not too bad either.

I haven't brought pre-ground coffee in years and wouldn't care too. Good coffee comes from good beans and a fresh grind.

Oh BTW, http://coffeegeek.com/ is a good site to use for advice etc on coffee, although STW isn't too bad either (what happened to the coffee lounge?)
