One can write a decent book. One is cashing in. Discuss.

I prefer McNabb myself – always though Ryan’s book were a bit flimsey. Plus he does a lot of TV and has shown his identity etc whereas McNabb is still arelative mystery

Only one of them can escape the Iraqi national Hide & Seek team.

Oh, & neither can write a good book IMO.
Ref:- Frederick Forsyth if you want to read a decent book.

I find NcNabs book (the fiction ones anyway) devastatingly depressing. Ryan, whilst entertaining are not really that deep.

    Much better authors out there.

lol @ sootyandjim! Top man, Lofty!

McNabb and Ryan are a pair of grade A c0cktards.

If you want proper military fiction I believe you’d be better off reading anything written by ‘Sharkey’ Ward AKA ‘The Bearded Bullsh***er’, as he is known in FAA circles.

all their books are works of fiction, any relationship to actual events is minmal at best

I agree a true British soldier and legend has it told Margaret Thatcher to “Shift your **** head I can’t see!”

What about Eddie Stone?, I reckon I would have him on side in a pub brawl.

In all fairness in CQC (close quater combat)they all would batter any of us on here, they know ALL the dirty tricks 😥

Yeah but surely those strips of black and nasty tape they have to wear over their eyes hinders them a bit in a pub fight?

John McAleese could kick both their asses.

They don’t call him “Demolitions Expert and First Through the Window at the Iranian Embassy Siege” for nothing you know.

He’s double-hard to the power of nails.

Was he the one that kicked the window then got stuck and had to be cut down?

Henno would kick all of them into touch. He’s been to Afghanistan you know, with not a single weapon to hand other than his razor wit?

Henno’s pretty nails, but Lewis Collings could kick his ass back to Walford.

Duncan Falconer books are miles better IMO. A great author who’s been there and done that too

an old girlfriend of mine was in the publishing trade and met them both. According to her, Ryan’s a nice bloke but can’t really write for toffee, hence his books aren’t too great. McNab was n arsehol whose books were ghost-written

You can imagine both of them typing faster and faster and harder and harder as they get excited writing a sketch until crash bang … new keyboard please, then they have an argument with the spell-checker.. new computer please..
