There’s an increasing number of thefts from shed/garages on here, particularly in certain areas which are getting hit very heavy at the moment. One thing no ones seems to have setup is a GSM dialler system, or an alarm which goes off in the main house in the event of break-in. This must surely be one of the best methods to catch them in the act/stop the theft, especially as most bikes go when sleeping at night.
Anyone considered getting one of the android systems which have an autodialler for easy alerts if out, and more importantly to wake you up in the main house if overnight breach?
Can be had very cheaply from £65, controller from mobile, and more importantly don’t require power to outbuilding.

I did find some last week which didn’t even need the cheapo PAYG simcard and used the houses wireless internet connection for alerting to phone if breaking, but can’t find it now.
