Sometimes stuff happens and delivery dates slip, or just go completely out the window. I can’t see how they’ll lose out, though – even the little tiny manufacturers I deal with, while they demand payment before shipping a bike, don’t demand it as soon as an order is placed – and larger manufacturers will have credit terms.

Also, completely inexcusable not to refund you right away.
