Whisky comes in very handy – I was out a couple of weeks ago, started with snow which was fine, but when it warmed up into rain it got a bit grim for a while as my bag doesn’t fully close over.

I can’t remember who said it, but it was said that the only difference between bivvying and sleeping rough was choice. Sounds about right…

After a glorious, icy / snowy ride under the full moon last night, it’s howling & raining here again, so I’m quite satisfied with my roof / king size bed / thick duvet combo, but do still see the attraction of your night out. I think.

The most miserable part of the trip was the ride home!
