Is it ok to use external plywood as opposed to Aquapanel? I only need a small amount to make a little windowsill / mini splashback behind my kitchen sink.

A sheet of Aquapanel is £15 and I’ll use about a third of it. The people who’d don the kitchen before used melamine covered chipboard.
