Hello, we have storage heaters in our apartment and are not allowed to replace them with a GSH boiler. We are allowed to change them for other storage heaters if there is a newer better range. So far we have put off having them on this year but the missus is complaing too often that it’s too cold now. The heaters we have are far too expensive and give off very little heat. Does anyone know a good portable heater we can invest in?

Not storage heaters these are pretty archaic and not very efficient but there are some pretty good new electric convector heaters out there now with pretty good control systems on them to make them really efficient. Rointe I think make one, its not cheap but apparently its miles better than the straight forward panel heaters.

We used to use the blue gas bottle ones (about 3ft high on wheels). Not pretty but effective.

Ages ago I had a slimline upright leccy fan heater with a thermostat, could combine something like that with a timer plug
