Not looking for nirvana or neds atomic dustbin t shirts but just wondering if there are any viable alternatives to the norm altura, endura etc?
Not fox, one industries etc just good riding gear that’s comfy and not too in yer face….

Fox, TLD etc all do some fairly normal ranges. Got some nice Dakine stuff too.

Tend to just pick stuff up off the sale rail these days.

Loads of stuff from Decathlon or Go outdoors.

Cheap as chips and doesn’t matter if it gets ripped etc.

You don’t “look the part” but if you aren’t bothered about that, it works fine, and it’s certainly cost effective compared to branded stuff.

Mountain whorehouse do some ok stuff. Comfiest liners I’ve got are from there. They do cheap technical t-shirts too.

    Nb spelling is deliberately wrong

I bought a load of Tenn stuff when it was really cheap (not sure if it is now??)
I can’t kill it, still going strong 4 years later.

Other than that, I buy cheap technical tops from clearance sales or TK Maxx, and pretty much swerve cycling brands apart from a decent jacket and some HumVee’s which again, I can’t kill.

Decathlon stuff is good vfm but styling is hit and miss imo. Base layers etc are excellent value there.

I like specialised shorts (fit fat reasons) and have all sorts of random gear for up to including airy hiking t shirt things from millets so probably best not to take sartorial above from me…

I have one cycling jersey and one two lycra shorts, never felt the need for cycling specfifc gear other than that, just general outdoor gear.

Workware shorts (dickies, screwfix own brand, whatever is on offer) in the summer, ronhill tracksters or workware shorts and dhb tight in the winter, usually jsut the tracksters. Add bibs or padded shorts if I’m doing a particularly long ride and have not ridden for a while.

On top bamboo tshirt of choice or polysomthing t shirt + cheap soft shell and or thin chairty shop wool jumper + or wind proof gillet + or altura waterproof top.

Morvelo tech tees, brilliant to ride in, comfy, decent wicking and you don’t look a complete spanner in the cafe/pub afterwards.

I ride quite often in Hard Yakka shirts form New Zealand, they even do High Viz ones, they have a sun factor rating too. Tough as they come and lots of pockets.

I’m quite impressed by the price of the Alpkit T’s someone linked to on another thread. £12 – plain or with the Alpkit logo across the front
