Alpkit seem to have found a way to address the main issue I had with buying one of their tents (e.g. they are an online only retailer trying to sell a consumer untested tent).

You can now hire their tents, the costs of which will be offset against a future purchase. It’s only £30 to hire the Kangri for a full week, which is extremely reasonable compared to most proper tent hire company charges. In fact, it’s dirt cheap.

Absolutely no reason for me not to get one now.

The Super Quasar is staying in the house next month and I’m taking a Kangri for a test ride in Glencoe 🙂

Really interested to see what it’s like, and glad Alpkit are doing this otherwise I might never have spent a night in one, let alone bought one.
