Need to get a pot hole damaged (dinged rim, rough pointed edge) plus kerb scuffed alloy refurbed. What level of wallet fright should I expect? I have about £100 in mind. Going to phone around in a bit but would like an idea first

I’d just go with nearest one with a good reputation. Otherwise you’ll sink costs into fannying around.

I had one repaired last month as it had split. Not sure of the repair cost as my garage arranged it, but £75 including tyre on/off.

    Something like £60-80 matey.

However have a look on eBay to see if any dealers are getting rid of old stock as that can work out cheaper/the same for a brand-spanking new wheel. That is what I did after a little trip into the scenery last year …

it depends on the wheel – diamond cut and multiple colour paint costs quite a bit more (as a had to pay this morning) than a straight forward painted alloy.

    Size is also a factor.

I paid £45 plus VAT per wheel for a straight refurb on 17s last year.
